Meet, Sophie, Nine of Diamonds, and your librarian.

Sophie grew up in the Deck, one of four sisters (she's the oldest). Her parents thrived on petty politics and most of their rearing was left to Sophie. The girls attended the best schools, had the best training, met the right people. All, save Sophie, who was more likely to be found with her nose in a book or making sure her sisters didn't do anything to hurt themselves or the family. When her parents died in a car crash, she raised the girls on her own. She'd promised her father she'd look after her sisters, and she's kept her word. She's always done what's best for her sisters, even if it was to her expense. Family comes first.

To Sophie, at least. To her sisters, she was nothing more than a stepping stone on the way. And if they knew she'd roll over and let them beat her in a challenge, well that was Sophie's fault, not theirs. First one, then the next, then the youngest sister sent Sophie careering from her comfortable perch as an Eight to her current rank as Five.

Sophie withdrew into herself. Over the past few years, she's donned armor consisting of oversized cardigans, frumpy skirts and sensible shoes.

Both Mun and PB (Alison Sudol) are over 21.
